Bad Bush est un hommage et un détournement des western de l'âge d'or hollywoodien.

Avec les tumbleweeds on a souhaité apporter une dimension écologique au genre en le confrontant à des problématiques liées au changement climatique. Le cowboy, incarnation du vieux monde tire sur Bush. c'est sa réponse à la menace, qui est à la fois idiote et surtout inutile. il n'a pas les bonnes armes pour faire face à la contre attaque de la nature et finit donc par disparaitre. L'histoire des tumbleweeds et les cadres grandioses que nous empruntons au western, nous servent à montrer la place minuscule que les hommes occupent dans cet univers. Le traitement graphique oppose un univers réaliste 3D pour tout ce qui se place du côté "nature" et quelque chose de beaucoup plus dessiné et brouillon pour tout ce que nos héros humains ont fabriqué et se sont approprié. C'est la façon que nous avons choisi pour montrer que dans cet univers désertique l'humanité n'est qu'un dessin qui resterai d'une grande histoire qui s'efface petit à petit.

Bad Bush is a tribute as well as a diversion of westerns from the golden age of Hollywood.

With the tumbleweeds, we wanted to propose an ecological dimension to the genre by confronting it with issues related to climate change. The cowboy, incarnation of the old world, shoots Bush as a response to the threat, which is both silly and mostly pointless. He does not have the right weapons to face the counterattack of Nature and, therefore, ends up disappearing. For the staging, we borrowed highly coded framing and lengths to make our absurd story epic. The story of the tumbleweeds and the grandiose settings that we took from the western also help us to spotlight the tiny place that men occupy in this universe. The graphic treatment opposes a realistic 3D universe, representing everything that is placed on the "natural" side, and some elements that are much more drawn and rough, for everything that our human (so-called) heroes have made and appropriated. This is the way we have chosen to show that in this desert universe : Mankind is only a drawing that would remain of a great story that is gradually fading.
